World Map of Friends

Using a Plate Carrée style map I have written PHP code to map Latitude/Longitude to X/Y coordinates. If you want to add a friend or location to the map you simply add the Latitude/Logitude to an array and the location is dynamically generated. This was inspired by geourl.org where you can locate other websites within a certain distance of you. Geolocation is one of several emerging technologies for the internet.

Sample SVG output has also been added to the download so you can create hyperlinked images without using image maps.
